The annual Conclave of the Viola da Gamba Society of America (VdGSA, our “parent organization”) is a week-long summer gathering of viol players, packed with courses, lectures, and concerts where you can learn about technique, repertoire, and all things violistic, with manifold opportunities for pick-up groups into the wee hours of the morn.
The Conclave location alternates among several U. S. locations. The 2019 Conclave was held at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon; the next Conclave will be at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, 26 July to 2 August 2020.
